Connect Outlook to Untyped

Sign in with Microsoft

Click the “Sign in with Microsoft” button on the Untyped sign-in page at app.getuntyped.ai.

Select your account

Choose the Outlook/Microsoft account you want to connect.
This works with personal Outlook accounts, work accounts (Microsoft 365), and Hotmail accounts.

Grant permissions

Untyped will request permission to: - Read your mail and folders - Access your mailbox settings - Send mail on your behalf (for drafts)
These permissions are necessary for Untyped to analyze your communication patterns and generate draft responses.

Complete setup

After authorization, you’ll be taken to your Untyped dashboard where the onboarding process will start.

Configure settings In Outlook

You must configure how Untyped organizes your emails.
IMPORTANT: You must configure your folder and category settings in OUTLOOK. Untyped will not work with Outlook unless you complete this step.

Troubleshooting Outlook Connection

Some organizations require IT approval before you can connect new apps.If you are a user: Ask your IT department to approve Untyped.If you are an IT Admin: Follow our Microsoft 365 Admin Setup Guide to whitelist Untyped.
If you are connected but your emails aren’t being labeled or moved, you likely skipped the configuration step. Solution: You must go to your dashboard settings and choose whether Untyped should use Folders or Categories. Without this, the AI cannot touch your emails. View the Setup Guide
